Hello!
I’m Louise Slope
Nutritionally supporting You Through Every Stage of Parenthood
As a BANT-registered Nutritional Therapist, I specialise in maternal and child nutrition, helping parents confidently nourish their little ones from pregnancy through early childhood.
I understand how frustrating and overwhelming mealtime struggles can be, because I’ve been there. Whether you’re navigating pregnancy nutrition, introducing solids, managing picky eating, or supporting a neurodiverse child, I’m here to provide gentle, personalised guidance that fits into your family’s life, without added stress.
Why I Do This
My journey into child nutrition wasn’t just professional, it was personal. When my son developed extreme picky eating habits, I was told to "he will grow out of it" or that "he’ll eat when he’s hungry." But mealtimes became a daily battle, and I knew there had to be a better way.
Through my training, I discovered that eating challenges often stem from gut health, sensory sensitivities, food anxiety, or allergies, not just a child being "fussy." By understanding these deeper causes and making small, manageable changes, we are transforming his relationship with food.
Now, I help other families do the same, so you can stop feeling stuck and start seeing progress.
Why Work With Me?
Food & Nutrition Expertise – I hold a Food Science degree and spent over a decade developing recipes for supermarkets, so I know how to make nutritious food practical, affordable, and family-friendly.
Personal Experience & Empathy – I understand the stress and worry of feeding struggles because I’ve lived it. My approach is always judgment-free, supportive, and tailored to your family's needs.
Specialist Training in Child Nutrition & Neurodiversity – I’ve completed additional training in extreme picky eating, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia, helping children with sensory food challenges feel safe exploring new foods.
How Nutritional Therapy Supports Your Child’s Eating Habits
As parents, we all want our children to have a healthy relationship with food. However, there isn’t a quick fix or a magic pill to change eating habits, especially when it comes to picky eating. Nutritional therapy is about guiding you with practical, manageable steps to help your child become a confident and happy eater.
My Role as Your Child’s Nutritionist
I’m here to support, educate, and guide you through this journey. I will provide personalised recommendations, share strategies, and offer practical tips to help your child develop better eating habits. However, the real progress happens at home. While I can guide you, I cannot do the work for you.
Together, we will:
✅ Set realistic and achievable goals tailored to your child’s needs
✅ Implement small, simple changes that fit into your family’s routine
✅ Have regular check-ins (every 2 weeks and 4-6 weeks) to keep you accountable
Overcoming Common Barriers
We all fall into certain food habits due to time, energy, and daily routines. Changing these habits takes effort, but my approach is designed to be manageable. Sharing practical adjustments that won’t overwhelm your family. If a recommendation isn’t working, we’ll tweak it or set it aside until the time is right.
No Quick Fix, Just Steady Progress
Supporting your child’s eating habits is a journey, not an overnight transformation. It requires consistency, patience, and a willingness to try new strategies. There will be challenges along the way, but with regular check-ins, encouragement, and adjustments, we’ll keep moving forward.
This process isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress. With my guidance and your commitment, we’ll work together to help your child develop a lifelong positive relationship with food.
Let’s take this journey one step at a time, together.
